I never realized how spiritually taxing Lucian’s journey would be. An immortal warrior with nothing but rage and anguish left leaves me feeling sad and exhausted whenever I write his POV; but in the end it will all be worth it.
He’s probably the most fun and interesting to write on a structure level because he has lived so long and experienced so much. He often forgets just how much time really has passed when it comes to the smaller aspects of life.
Tell me, if you were immortal what would you do with all that time? Would you even want it?
